Horse Riding on the Dingle Peninsula

Horse Riding on the Dingle Peninsula with a magical scenic twist

Dingle Horse Riding by the Sea

Incredible Scenic Backdrop

The Dingle Peninsula provides an incredibly scenic backdrop to enjoy the exhilarating freedom experienced while horse riding or pony trekking. From treks along the shores of golden sandy beaches, to treks up soaring mountains with stunning bay views, it is no wonder that the opportunity to ride by horseback is one of the most popular activities here on the Dingle Peninsula. It is an activity that is treasured by both locals and visitors alike. What a way to connect, via the leisurely pace of your horse, to the abundance of natural beauty that is ubiquitous here on the Dingle Peninsula.

Riders of all abilities catered for

Several riding stables on the Dingle Peninsula are approved by A.I.R.E. (Association of Irish Riding Stables). Riders of all abilities (including children) are catered for and first time riders / beginners are welcomed by all stables. Your experienced guides will carefully choose the horse best suited for you based on your level of ability to ensure that you enjoy the best possible horse riding experience. All necessary equipment will be supplied by your stable (riding helmets, boots, etc.). Each stable will have their own tack which will be suited to the type of riding that you will be doing.

Choice of Treks & Trails

You will see below that each stable will offer you a menu of trek and trail options to choose from – accommodating horse riders in search of a fun and memorable introduction to horse riding, to advanced riders searching for exciting and challenging rides with a magical scenic Dingle twist. Treks can range from as short as 1/2 hour for beginners right through to full day excursions for those more experienced riders.

Horse Riding with English Style Saddles

Please note that all horses in our Dingle Peninsula stables are ridden with English style saddles. English riding involves a bit more balance and coordination of the reins and legs, so western riders may not feel immediately secure in the saddle.
